GoPlanit Reviews for Millennium Park
A must-see if you're in town. Take dozens of pics at the Cloud Gate (aka Giant Bean), head over to the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, on to the BP Bridge, stroll through the Lurie Garden, gaze at Crown Fountain, and finally settle down on a nice grassy plot to enjoy that lunch you brought with you.
There are a number of other sites to see, but the above is preciesly the route I recommend. If you're there in the colder months, skip the lunch, and instead do some ice skating.
I love chilling at Millennium Park. In my opinion, there are three must-see items here:
1) You have to take some pictures with the famous Bean (Cloud Gate). This is the number one attraction in Chicago in my opinion.
2) Check out the Crown Fountains. And, for the kids, maybe even run around the water and wait until the fountains spew some water over everyone.
3) Relax on the grassy area of the outdoor amphitheater. This is where I met David Schwimmer a few years back and just a great area to relax and read a book or enjoy a nice sunny summer day in Chicago.
