GoPlanit Reviews for Hanauma Bay Marine Preserve
Looking for the best place to snorkel? There's no better place than Hanauma Bay Marine Preserve. Year-round snorkeling awaits you at this coral reef filled with plenty of fish that literally swim right around you. It's a great place even for beginners. Snorkel gear can be had for <$10 a person and they also have lockers here if you need to rent one. Now that Hanauma Bay has become such a tourist attraction, they also charge an entrance fee of $5/person. Oh, and there's a tram that takes you uo/down the slight hilly path to and from the entrance and the bay. You can take the tram for $.50 to go down or $1.00 to go up. But, you'd miss out on this view. I think that the view is worth the slight inconvenience of the walk, so I generally just walk it.
