Manitoba

Manitoba is a prairie province in Canada, which has an area of ~650,000 sq km and a population of around 1.2 Million. Almost 60% of the population lives in or around the Winnipeg Capital Region. Other major cities in Manitoba include Brandon, Thompson, Portage la Prairie, Steinbach, Selkirk, and Winkler. Because of its location in the centre of the North American continent and distance from the moderating influences of both mountain ranges and large bodies of water, Manitoba has a very extreme climate.
