A walk around downtown Seattle

All I can say is that Piroshky Piroshky was the greatest discovery of my life - okay maybe not "the" greatest, but in my top list. If you love bread, this takes you to a whole new world. Imagine fresh hot bread oozing with salty and sweet flavors that create an explosion in your mouth. Cheese, and potato bread. Onion and cheese bread. Salmon pate. Okay, I could talk about Piroshky's for days, but I'll spare you. By the way, I came to Piroshky for a few Piroshky just about everyday I was in Seattle (like 3 times).

On to Pike's Place Market. This was the most eclectic mixture of items. Fruits, flower arrangements, kelidioscopes, comics, antiques, and seafood. O, not to forget the famous fish throwing people. Every time someone bought a fish from that corner market, they would hollar and throw the fish around. I think everyone was too busy standing, waiting, and staring to even reach for their wallets to make a purchase. I didn't get to see any fish throwing, but I did buy some awesome smoked salmon. That was some good stuff! You could spend a day walking around here and eating. Pike's also introduced me to the largest shrimp I think I've ever seen. My only regret was that I could no brind it home on the plane with me.

Onto Crumpets. I can't say this was "great." It was good and edible, great? Not exactly. It reminded me of a movie with a small town setting. There were about 5 small tables. I got the jam crumpet, all the while glaring and salivating at the woman next to us with the peanut butter and jelly crumpet. Who knew that a peanut butter and jelly crumpet would be the way to go......

Space Needle has a nice view, albeit it was pretty cold and slightly rainy. It just reminded me of Grey's Anatomy. You know when they start the show with the music and intro? Yup!

Wasabi Bistro was probably second to my favorite food place. The sushi was amazing and fresh. The sashimi just melted in your mouth! It also wasn't that expensive for what you got, fairly cheap almost. The only lame thing about the restaurant is that they are one of those places that likes to "hold the line" - 10 empty tables staring at us in the face yet the hostess saying "sorry, there are no available tables. It will be a 30 minute wait." Go figure. They do take down your phone number and give you a ring when a table is available.....and it really did take us 30 minutes.....
