Opened in 2006 and open 24/7, the Apple Store has been visited by tens of millions of people around the word making it a genuine tourist destination.

http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4233 http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4233 Mon, 15 Dec 2008 01:00:39 +0500 Apples, Statues, and Batteries (Continued)
Next up is the the Statue of Liberty, perhaps the most recognized statue in the world. My favorite part was the boat ride to the island because it really provides you panoramic full view of the entire city with the reflection of the calm waters.

http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4234 http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4234 Mon, 15 Dec 2008 01:03:57 +0500 Apples, Statues, and Batteries (Continued)
After visiting the Statue of Liberty we took a stroll around Battery Park which is conveniently located next to the Statue of Liberty tour area. Here you can find the a small memorial from the 9/11 attacks. The Shere (damaged but recovered from the attack) is seen below.

http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4235 http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4235 Mon, 15 Dec 2008 01:07:31 +0500 Empires and Squares
The next day we visited the Empire State building which stood as the world's tallest building for 40 years. It is still the tallest building in New York and provides a 360 panoramic view from the sky. A sight worth seeing.

http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4236 http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4236 Mon, 15 Dec 2008 01:10:36 +0500 Empires and Squares (Continued)
Next was Times Square, its not called the city that doesn't sleep for nothing. With hundreds of people walking around getting to places in a hurry the fun never stops.

http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4237 http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4237 Mon, 15 Dec 2008 01:19:40 +0500 Bridges and Cathedrals
Third way we checked out the Brooklyn Bridge, at one time the longest bridge in the world. It is the oldest suspension bridge in the world and a large feat in engineering, setting the precedent for achievements like the San Francisco Gate Bridge. The bridge connected Manhattan to the rest of New York (or at least Brooklyn).

Next up was the St. Patrick's Cathedral which is huge and distinct. Nuff said.

http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4238 http://www.goplanit.com/itinerary/blog/entry/id/4238 Mon, 15 Dec 2008 01:28:54 +0500
