A Trip to Remember

For some reason, I never tire of watching the fountain at Bellagio Hotel.  Every 15 minutes, it's the same lights and water show with the same Andrea Bocelli song.  It's just one of those rituals.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.  Unfortunately, I don't remember too much about this trip in particular.  What I do remember is that it was the best Vegas trip I had ever been on.

Day 2 - Saturday December 31, 2005

Ever Run on the Freeway Before?

There was a lot of alcohol going around, so I had to be the sober chaperone.  The Fremont Street Experience was so much fun.  Everyone was partying on the street.  We watched the fireworks by the mini Eiffel Tower.  Then the real fun began.

We screamed our lungs out shouting "Happy New Year!" every 5 minutes.  We faked a celebrity sighting.  As far as you know, JD from Scrubs was partying in Vegas for New Year's in 2006.

Paul looks like Zach Braff from Scrubs.  Can't tell in this picture though.

Paul was so drunk that he forgot about his fear of clowns.

Have these structures always been here?

Our hotel was way off the strip and Brian had the bright idea of a "shortcut."  Everyone was too drunk to realize it was a bad idea until it was too late.  But we hopped some fence and started running along a center divider on the freeway.  Some shortcut.  I was in back, making sure there weren't any stragglers.  Somehow we managed to get back to safety.  It was such an adrenaline rush though.

We stole some party hats we found lying on the ground.  We believe in recycling.

Happy New Year!

Day 3 - Sunday January 1, 2006

Shopping!

No vacation is complete without shopping.  Vegas, New York, and Chicago are the only places left with FAO Schwarz.  It's such a fun store, which is perfect for twenty-somethings to loiter around in.

Yeehaw!

Pony up!

Reenactment of Big, anyone?

We left emptyhanded, but we'll always have the center divider.
